Daily Skincare Routine You Must Follow During Winter Season


Winter is a harsh season for the skin. The cold, dry air and wind can lead to increased dryness, chapped hands and lips, cracks in skin and even bruising. While there are many ways to prevent the winter blues from affecting your appearance, it’s also important that you take care of your skin during this time of year if you wish for it to look healthy throughout the year. Here are some tips on how you can stay protected from this season’s harsh weather:

The winter season is a harsh one for the skin, and it can be hard on your face and body.

In order to keep your skin looking healthy and vibrant in the cold months ahead, try these tips:

  • Use sunscreen! Protecting your face from UV rays will help prevent premature aging as well as sunburns.
  • Apply moisturizer regularly throughout the day—even after washing up or showering off at night if you want extra hydration during this time of year when temperatures are lower than usual levels due to low humidity levels (which means dryer air). You may also want to consider using an oil-free lotion or balm instead of cream since these products don’t clog pores like creams do; however most brands have both options available so there’s no need to worry about having too much product on hand!

The following are some tips to help take care of your skin in the winter.

  • Use lukewarm water to wash your face.
  • Apply sunscreen with a proper SPF rating of 30 or higher every morning before you go out in the sun for at least 15 minutes. If you don’t have time for that, at least apply it when you wake up and again before bedtime.
  • Stay hydrated throughout the day by drinking plenty of water, which will help keep your skin healthy and make it look younger!
  • Moisturize hands frequently throughout the day with lotion or cream if needed – this helps prevent dryness on those delicate fingers and nails (which can lead to cracking).

Lukewarm Water

You need to wash your face in the right temperature. That’s why we recommend lukewarm water for washing your face—it is not too hot or cold, which can cause irritation and dryness.

Hot water softens the outer layer of skin (the epidermis), making it more vulnerable to irritation from products like soap and cleansers. If you have sensitive skin, avoid using hot water as a way of dealing with any breakouts caused by acne treatment products like benzoyl peroxide or retinol creams. Cold temperatures close pores up even more tightly than hot ones do; this makes them less able to absorb moisture from moisturizers like lotion or serum, which are necessary if you want healthy looking skin!

Protecting your skin from the sun is extremely important for staying healthy, but it’s also an easy way to avoid looking like a lobster. As you know, UV rays can cause wrinkles and other signs of aging.

To keep your face looking young and radiant, use sunscreen with at least SPF 30 every day. If you’re going outside more than once in an hour or so—say, for walks around town—apply sunscreen 20 minutes before heading out into the sun!

Sunscreens should be applied liberally; they don’t need to be rubbery-tough because you’ll be putting them on over clothing if necessary (and even then). Moisturize Hands Frequently

You might be surprised to learn that your hands are more sensitive than you think. Moisturizing them regularly can help keep them healthy and looking good as well. The best moisturizer for dry, chapped hands is one that contains a thick lotion or cream—not only will it work better than a thin lotion, but it will also be easier on your skin while preserving its natural oils.

When applying this type of moisturizer, make sure the product sinks into the skin well before moving onto another area of the body (such as the face). You may want to apply some sunscreen underneath if you plan on spending time outside in direct sunlight for long periods of time—but don’t forget about those exposed areas too! If there are any cuts or scrapes on your hands from gardening activities earlier in the week then make sure they’re covered up before getting dressed again at night so nothing gets rubbed raw by clothing rubbing up against them during sleep.”


Lotion is a great way to keep your skin hydrated, especially in the winter. It can also help you avoid dryness and flakiness by moisturizing your hands, arms and feet when they’re exposed to harsh elements like wind or cold air.

If you don’t want to use lotion every day of the year—or if it’s not convenient for you—you can still benefit from using it as often as possible: after showering; before bedtime; or whenever you wash your hands (which should be about once per day). You don’t need to buy any fancy products either! Just pick up some unscented lotion at any drugstore (you’ll find them near shelves full of perfumes). Dry Shampoo

Dry shampoo is a powder that you apply to your hair to absorb oil and keep it looking fresh. It’s especially helpful for people who don’t wash their hair every day, since washing your hair can strip the oils from it and make it look greasy. Dry shampoo is also useful if you have oily hair—if you’ve got a lot of natural oils on your scalp and/or face, then this will help keep those areas looking matte instead of shiny or greasy.


Vaseline is a petroleum jelly that can be used to help protect skin from the cold, and it can also be used to heal cuts and burns. It’s usually applied directly onto chapped lips to help them heal faster.

You should take care of your skin when it is cold out

  • Wash your face with lukewarm water. This helps you avoid dry skin and keep the moisture in your skin.
  • Use sunscreen on a daily basis, especially if you are tanner than usual or have freckles.
  • Stay hydrated by drinking enough water every day! Hydration is important for healthy skin because it keeps the blood flowing through your body and allows oxygen to reach all parts of your body including your face, which helps reduce flaking as well as irritation from acne or rosacea (inflammation).
  • Moisturize regularly throughout winter season with lotion after showering or bathing; use one that’s specifically designed for dryness-prone skin types like mine! Though I don’t use moisturizers often enough due to laziness but now that I’m writing this post I will definitely make sure not only my hands but also other parts of my body are moisturized properly so they don’t get flaky later on down line.. You know what else helps? Lotion! It’s pretty much self explanatory unless someone tells me otherwise 🙂
